Viaspora helps you decide what is worth your time in Europe, and where to book it if you want to. This page explains who is behind it and how it earns money.
What Viaspora is
Viaspora is an independent travel guide to Europe. Right now it covers 14 countries, 84 cities and 101 attractions, with 11 longer travel guides on itineraries, planning and food. Each attraction page sets out what the place is, where it is, and practical details such as opening times and how entry works.
We are not a tour operator or a travel agent. We do not sell tickets, hold your money or run any tours. When you book something through a link on this site, the booking is made with Viator, a Tripadvisor company, under its own terms.
Who runs it
Viaspora is built and operated by Not A Cog Studio Ltd, a small company. It is a small publication rather than a newsroom, and we would rather say so than imply a team of hundreds.
How we choose and write recommendations
- Places first. Country, city and attraction pages are written to be useful whether or not you ever click a booking link. We include the practical facts we hold and leave a detail out when we do not have it, rather than guess.
- Tours are selected by Viator’s own data. On the home page and city pages, the tours we show are ranked using the rating and review count published on Viator. We label those figures “on Viator” because they are Viator’s, not ours, and they are not our own reviews of the tours.
- Prices are not shown. Prices and availability change daily. Our tour data was last synced October 2026, so always check Viator for current prices, dates and cancellation terms before you book.
- Commission does not decide what we write. Our commission arrangement does not change what we recommend.
How we make money
Many links to tours and tickets on Viaspora are affiliate links to Viator. If you click one and make a booking, Viator pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. Every such link is marked with an Ad label so you can tell it apart from ordinary links.

Corrections
Opening times, entry rules and routes change, and we will sometimes get things wrong. If you spot an error or an out-of-date detail, tell us and we will check it and fix the page. If a fix changes what we recommend, we update the guide rather than leave the old advice in place.
